CENTRE MANAGER (FITNESS)

Requirements

  • Degree in business, management, sports, leisure, recreation management or sports science 
  • Prior experience in personal training and/or corporate health & wellness promotion
  • CPR, AED & First Aid certification preferred
  • Prior experience managing an integrated facility
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Result oriented and willing to work shifts and weekends
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Those with current certification in personal training/group fitness instruction or experience in managing a fitness and F&B facility will have an added advantage
  • Online and social media savvy

Duties

  • Design and promote activities to meet customer demand and generate revenue in the areas of fitness
  • Maintain high levels of customer care, with particular focus on client retention
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff, including managing their schedules
  • Carry out regular health and safety checks on the site and equipment
  • Handle any complaints and incidents
  • Deliver fitness training and coaching
  • Responsible for checks and balances
  • Ensure budgets and projections are met
  • Maintain inventory and make recommendations for equipment and supplies purchases

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR / PERSONAL TRAINER

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in a health and/ or fitness-related field
  • Current certification in personal training or group fitness instruction
  • Prior experience in personal training and/ or corporate health & wellness promotion
  • CPR, AED & First Aid Certification
  • Fitness instructor certification in group exercise and/ or certification in a specialty area
  • Prior experience conducting group fitness classes
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Result oriented and willing to work shifts and weekends
  • Online and social media savvy

Duties

  • Design & develop effective, engaging and motivating fitness routines for classes 
  • Conduct fitness assessments
  • Teach and guide clients on the proper techniques of exercises
  • Monitor clients progress and be able to provide advice on health and nutrition 
  • Motivate clients during their workouts 
  • Be able to create fitness programs, schedule classes, sign up new members, etc

BARISTA

Requirements

  • Diploma, GCE ‘O’ Level certification (or equivalent) or relevant skills training (Barista) certification
  • Minimum 1+ years in the coffee service industry
  • Prior experience in the food & beverage industry preferred
  • Hands-on experience with brewing equipment and machinery
  • Clean, disciplined with excellent communication skills
  • Willing to work shifts and over weekends

Duties

  • Ensure proper operation of coffee machine's and brewing equipment
  • Prepare varieties of coffee and other beverages
  • Be able to communicate and explain the menu to clients clearly
  • Maintain inventory and stock 
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
  • Comply with health & safety regulations
  • Assist in serving food and beverages
  • Willing to work shifts and over weekends

KITCHEN HELPERS / COOKS

Requirements

  • Recognised certification in culinary school or with a passion for cooking
  • Minimum 2+ years’ work experience as a cook 
  • Knowledge and application of various cooking methods and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures per health & safety regulations
  • Good team player and willing to learn and adapt
  • Willing to work shifts and over weekends

Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with pre-determined recipes 
  • Contribute ideas for recipes based on experience
  • Able to plate food 
  • Able to operate various kitchen appliances
  • Estimate daily expected food consumption and organise preparation accordingly 
  • Ensure kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean and sanitized at all times
  • Oversee kitchen staff and ensure an orderly environment in the kitchen at all times
  • Maintain accurate food inventory and replenish stock as required
  • Check the quality of ingredients prior to accepting any deliveries
  • Ensure food items are stored in appropriate temperatures and areas
  • Comply with health & safety regulations

BAKER

Requirements

  • Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
  • Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
  • Understand food safety practices
  • Experience with cake decoration techniques and plating
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
  • Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
  • Certification from a culinary school is a plus

Duties

  • Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
  • Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
  • Be able to bake cakes and other desserts
  • Be able to make a variety of bread 
  • Manage oven and other equipment to ensure proper baking
  • Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies 
  • Shape dough for different types of pastries, including croissants, cookies, and sweet rolls
  • Recommend and formulate recipes for special dietary requirements (eg: gluten-free/vegan desserts)
  • Track food supplies and place orders, as needed

FRONT DESK

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level certification
  • Prior experience as Receptionist, Admin Assistant or similar role preferred
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Meticulous and detailed oriented
  • Willing to work shifts and over weekends

Duties

  • Greet, welcome and direct customers appropriately and professionally as they arrive
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Receive and sort daily mail or deliveries
  • Assist with customers’ enquiries and provide accurate information in-person and by phone and/or email
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory of office supplies and stock
  • Perform other clerical, receptionist and admin duties such as filing, photocopying, etc

WAITER / WAITRESS

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level certification
  • Certification in food safety training or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation and serving.
  • Familiarity with POS systems or any other restaurant software is desirable
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good team player and capable of working well under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Willing to work shifts and over weekends

Duties

  • Take accurate food & beverage orders and being attentive to additional requests from customers (eg. Food allergies)
  • Serve / deliver food & beverages to customers promptly and ensuring orders are correct
  • Deliver checks & bills and collect payment and processing payment where necessary
  • Assist with beverage & dessert preparation where necessary
  • Maintain familiarity with menu items, daily specials, and other restaurant information to be able to offer recommendations and assist with customer enquiries
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, cutlery, glasses, etc
  • Comply with health & safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety around the premises at all times
  • Meet with managers, kitchen staff and team members daily to review and discuss daily specials, menu changes, and any upcoming reservations or special needs

CASHIER / ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level certification
  • Prior experience in operating POS system or other POS software in a retail store or restaurant
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to write simple reports and updates 
  • Clear communications skills, detailed oriented and honest

Duties

  • Manage and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently – including operating POS system, cash register, and credit/ debit card terminals 
  • Ensure bills and pricings reflected are correct
  • Handle exchanges and refunds quickly and efficiently in accordance with the store’s policies
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer
  • Produce transaction receipts and records as required
  • Maintain inventory and stock for merchandise and equipment
  • Ability to direct customers and provide accurate information
  • Assist the administration department in everyday requirements
